Rest assured that our team treat pelvic dysfunction every day and will help you feel that you are not alone. Pelvic health problems are incredibly common and highly treatable.
Common Pelvic Health Conditions
- Low back pain.
- Hip pain.
- Sacroiliac (SI) joint pain.
- Prenatal care (During pregnancy).
- Post partum care (Post delivery) including treatment of Diastasis Recti, bladder leakage, overactive bladder, urinary urgency, painful scar tissue, learning Kegels correctly and guidance on re-training the “CORE”
Ante-natal / Post partum back pain
This is the most common in women after delivery (whether normal or C-section). During pregnancy there happen some changes in spine and pelvis, the lordosis is increased so pelvis goes in anterior pelvic tilt because of that few muscles got stretched and few got tight and ultimately “CORE” becomes weak which leads to back pain slowly.
During normal delivery, the lady has to push the baby so pelvic muscles become stretched and weak which becomes leading reason for back pain and bowel & bladder problems
Prenatal back pain
This is another big reason of back pain during pregnancy. With increase in size of baby in the uterus the lordosis increases and so the “Sacroiliac (SI) Joint” can be dislocated. Because of this the patient can start feeling difficulties in bending, twisting and even turning in bed. If this is ignored it can become cause of chronic back pain with radiation in lower limbs. Slowly it can start involving lumber vertebras and start putting pressure on intervertebral disc, which further start compressing the nerve roots.
And sometimes this is not enough too; the patient starts having cervical pain with or without radiation to upper limbs.
